You’re about discover the EXACT steps I took to keep myself focused and on track even after NOT being drafted, and working my way up from the practice squad. If I would of had someone to mentor me and teach me these steps, I would have got where I am today, a lot faster with a lot less pain. Let me be that mentor for you.

Every boy in America dreams of playing in the NFL. I was no exception. Since I was a child I fell in love with the game of football. I was no fool though, I knew that if I was going get my chance I had to bust my tail to get there.

So that’s exactly what I did and it wasn’t easy or always fun.

Honestly, I’d do anything for the love of the game. The feelings of adrenaline, euphoria and excitement fill my body each and every time I step on the field. Not just in the NFL either. Even when I was a young boy I would get a rush like no other when taking the field. It’s my natural high.

I used those feelings to fuel my drive and keep focused. The result: WINNING

I’ve got a LONG history of winning. I don’t believe winners are born, I believe winners are made. They are made from the blood, sweat and tears they pour into winning. Winning is an art. Winning is a learned craft.

It’s no secret we can’t win ALL the time, but with the right mindset and focus you can win in all areas of your life more than you lose. After all there’s only been one perfect season in the entire history of the NFL. Even winners lose from time to time. It’s what you do when you get back on the field of life after you lose that makes you a winner.

A winning mindset is the best skill to possess period. If you’ve got a winning mindset, nothing can hold you down. It’s not as hard as you think to create a winning mindset. Even if you’re in a spot like I was where your dreams came crashing down in front of you. I’ve been there.

After my successful football career at UNT, I thought for sure I would be drafted out of college RIGHT into the pros. That didn’t happen. It would have been easy for me to give up and quit right then and there. But I didn’t. I wanted to, believe me. I had every excuse I needed, to do so.

Excuses are just the negative voices in your head convincing you you’re not who you believe you are. Excuses lie to you and those you give them to. They will never serve you well. The sooner you 86 the excuses the sooner your life will get 100.

Instead of giving up and going into the corporate world full time, I kept at it. I stayed on the grind and in shape. I practiced as if I was playing. The most successful people I know, practice every day like it’s game day. They are always prepared for anything.

I stuck with it and eventually I got a break to go play Footie. Australian football. While it wasn’t exactly what I planned, it was professional football none the less. i was just happy someone was willing to pay me for my talent and ability to win for them.

Right before I was to leave and head down under, I got the call from the Browns. I remember it like it was yesterday. It was the ultimate rush. It was if it was validation from God and the universe that I was following my destiny. The rest is history.

Good thing I don’t listen to those excuses.

I’ve had coaches and mentors all my life. I’ve learned that if you can surround yourself with a team of great people and wonderful mentors, you can achieve anything you want. While it’s not always easy to function in a team setting, if you put yourself aside for the greater good, amazing things will happen.

I’d like to offer you an opportunity to join me for 6 weeks in a private, online group (team), where I will personally mentor you and the other members of the team once a week for an hour.
